Jay Jameson, Kramer Ausenco Civil/Structural Engineer: “On the 18th & 19th of August my Dad and I were two of 1519 cyclists to ride in the Rio ride to conquer cancer ride. The ride was a gruelling 215km from the University of Queensland to Lake Summerset and back. We battled strong winds and fairly high temperatures, however completed the ride with good spirits. The event was well organised and I would definitely recommend anyone looking to physically challenge them self to get involved next year.
Together we raised over $5500 dollars which contributed to the total $5.2Million raised which will fund important cancer research.
Thank you to all that sponsored me including, The Lakes Family Medical Centre and the generous employees of Kramer Ausenco. Special congratulations to my Dad for completing the challenge and making me try keep up with him for the majority of the ride”.
