Kramer Ausenco is currently engaged in a state of the art new hospital being developed under a private-public partnership between the Fijian government and the Ba Chamber of Commerce. The proposed hospital will benefit a large number of Fijians in the Ba area and the nearby villages in the western division. The new Ba Hospital will be a 55 bed facility consisting of all amenities and operations of a full modern hospital. The proposed construction is to be situated in Clopcott Street, within the Ba Township. The allocated budget for the overall project is over 23 million dollars.
Kramer Ausenco will be providing Civil, Structural and Building Services Engineering for the New Ba Hospital Project. This is being carried out by a joint effort by three of the Kramer Ausenco offices - KA-Brisbane providing Structural Services, KA-Samoa providing the Civil Services and KA-Fiji providing Building Services and acting as the main point of contact between the three offices.
The New Ba Hospital is expected to be completed by mid-2015 with the construction starting later this year. The Government has allocated 7.3 million dollars for the first phase of the project
