The Kramer Ausenco Brothers Rugby Football Union Club has presented the 2019 Capital Rugby Union men’s premier division grand final trophy to major sponsors Kramer Ausenco (PNG) Limited.
Club Vice President Johnny Passingan and Club/Premier Division Coach Joe Kautu, met with the firm’s Chief Executive Officer Frank Kramer on October 10 to pass on the silverware from the Brothers’ 26-14 grand final victory over Harlequins in late July.
The Brothers premier team now hold back-to-back titles for 2018 and 2019, and this season’s prize will take pride of place next to last year’s premier and B grade grand final trophies in the KA PNG office. The KA Sisters also made the women’s division grand final this year, however lost in a close encounter against Novette.
Mr. Passingan thanked Mr. Kramer and the company’s board, management and staff for their sponsorship over nine years. “This is the club’s 45th anniversary and the celebrations will continue,” he said.
Mr. Kramer applauded all the club’s teams for their efforts this year, and congratulated the men’s premier side for their consecutive titles. “Kramer Ausenco Brothers Rugby Football Union Club have represented our company and our shared values and cultures with distinction, on and off the field, and we look forward to more years of partnership and premierships,” he said.
The Capital Rugby Union is the top-tier competition for the sporting code in the country. Members of the Kramer Ausenco Brothers premier division side dominated the national PNG Pukpuks team in the Oceania Rugby Cup tournament this year.
